The bus was launched by Mrs Thelma Awori second left, looking on are, Rick Anderson( left), Dr. Obiero Ong'ang'a The Executive Director OSIENALA, and on the right is Mr. Lusimba Rague the Chairman of OSIENALA Board of Management.

OSIENALA Award Cheques for Lake Victoria ConservationThe Executive Director, Dr Obiero Ong’ang’a and Chairman of OSIENALA Board of Directors Mr. Lusimba Rague awarded Cheques worth 10 million to its Kenyan partners at OSIENALA’s Lake Victoria Centre for Research and Development-Dunga Beach. It was 2nd February, 2009 and World Wetland Day was marked all over the World. The day has been marked since 1997 to commemorate the adoption date of wetlands convention in Iranian City of Ramsar situated in shores of Caspian Sea. So the day is earmarked for undertaking actions aimed at raising public awareness of wetland values and benefits in general and the Ramsar convention in particular.
